Technical Sales/Business Development Support

We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and an enthusiastic solar pioneer driven person to join our team. The role to be initially a Work from Home function fully supported by the Country MD and the K2 global team. Candidates with minimum 3 to 5 years in the solar industry seeking to advance their progression with a global manufacturer in Roof Top mounting structures should apply. Candidates with CEC Design Accreditation would be an advantage. Candidates location: Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

Main duties

  • Successfully delivers sales support in the B2B solar market by providing technical sales support and design software (Base) training
  • Applicant must be proficient with software design and capable of undertaking these tasks. K2 shall provide in house training specific to the K2 Base platform
  • Deliver and support webinars, product specific tutorials with K2 Clients
  • Sales Support with new acquisition of customers in wholesale markets as defined by management
  • Ability to manage B2B sales inclusive process of, sales, order processing, inventory dispatch
  • Engages with all aspects of B2B project sale in all market segments including: Solar Wholesale, Mid to large Direct Solar Retailers – software design/training support, Strategic relationship introduction opportunities
  • Engages with local and interstate clients
  • Provides technical support: Training and product support for Clients as defined MD, Training and maintaining skills on use of K2 Base software, Supports Large C&I Projects for K2 clients
  • Maintains and updates working knowledge of K2 Base Software platform
  • Prepares/answers tenders and quotes to secure new projects, supporting K2 Clients
  • Site analysis and due diligence through interaction with internal stakeholders and external parties
 

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • Wholesale sales and sound technical knowledge within the solar industry, may include B2B activity in solar or related field (Role would suit a candidate that is seeking their next progression role in sales/technical support within the solar industry)
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years solar experience in B2B Sales, Solar Design CEC accreditation an advantage
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years Solar Industry experience and 3 to 5 years Commercial sales background in B2B Sales
  • Behavioural Skills: Good Communicator, Relationship management, Ability to WFH
  • Technical Skills: Solar industry working knowledge, CEC accredited an advantage
