K2 Systems develops its own products at its headquarters in Renningen, Germany. A large proportion of system components distributed world-wide are manufactured in Germany.
K2 products are designed mainly in Germany and neighbouring European countries. Therefore, most components are "Made in Germany" or "Made in Europe".
This production method accelerates the procurement process and guarantees high quality standards for which K2 Systems is renown. Long-term supplier relationships, which have become close business partners, complement this sustainable procurement strategy.
Most of our components consist of stainless steel or aluminium. Plastics are also used under the principle of using materials to their best advantage.
Several thousand tons of aluminium are produced in medium-sized, Central European aluminium extrusion plants and in most cases constitute the basis of our assembly systems. With efficient stock management that is tailored to the market needs, K2 Systems ensures fast delivery times.
"We currently have approximately 780 items in stock in Renningen. Standard components ordered by 10am within Europe will, in most cases, be dispatched same day, so that our customers receive goods quickly on site," says Marcel Grilo, Head of Supply Chain Management.
The assembly-ready sets, which reduce the number of components on the construction site, are assembled in large numbers by the company's own assembly team at the Renningen site, as well as through non-profit workshops. The workshops, whose partnership is very important to us, also carry out assembly and bonding work, for example for the MK2.
