K2 Systems strengthens its sales network and continues to increase its involvement in Brazil

The main attractions at the K2 Systems during this year’s Intersolar South America are the innovative mounting systems that will be used specifically on the Brazilian market, as well as the strong and reliable sales network. The production of energy using PV systems is becoming increasingly important – especially in countries like Brazil – prompting increased demand for reliable and high quality system solutions. The industry get-together for the South American market is being held for the fourth time in São Paulo.

Tailored mounting systems on show at the K2 fair stand A.51

K2 Systems will be presenting selected products and innovation for the first time at its very own stand during the trade fair in Brazil. The mounting systems will include the tried and tested long rail system SpeedRail, which is particularly suited to trapezoidal sheet metal roofs and has become a particular favourite on the market, as metal roofs remain fairly common in Brazil. Additionally, the system is float mounted to allow controlled thermal expansion. The mounting rail is inserted into SpeedClips, which are held in place by drill screws. It takes just four steps to successfully install the SpeedRail System, making it a practical all-rounder for mounting PV systems.

The SolidRail System is another evergreen. Its mounting rails are frequently attached using a combination of Vario roof hooks and the solar fastener or a hanger bolt, especially in Brazil. Solar fasteners and hanger bolts are used mainly and sheet metal roofs, while the Vario roof hooks tend to be slipped beneath the tiles, where their height can be adjusted under the cantilever and battens.

K2’s South American partners use the S-Dome System, especially for flat roofs. As an equatorial country where flat roof systems are commonplace, quick and easy handling is a clear advantage in Brazil. The compatibility between the S-Dome System and the SpeedRail components, which simplifies logistics and storage, is yet another reason for the immense popularity of this product. Indeed, the variability and versatility of the K2 products merely emphasise the company’s innovative drive and expertise in developing suitable mounting systems for a range of different markets.

Increased involvement on the Brazilian market thanks to a larger sales network

K2 Systems teamed up with its Brazilian sales partner SICES Brasil several years ago, and since then has sold the reliable and high quality mounting systems on the Brazilian market as well. “SICES Brasil is one of our long-standing partners, and we share a close and personal bond. Together, we have completed a sizeable number of fantastic projects, and it is not without reason that SICES Brasil is currently the largest Brazilian provider of PV systems”, says Katharina David, Managing Director at K2 Systems.

A subsidiary of the Italian SICES Group, SICES Brasil, mainly offers its fitters and technicians complete system packages comprising all K2 Systems mounting products, including the modules and a current inverter. A second sales partnership has now been sealed with SunHybrid, a wholesaler originally from Germany, that will make the mounting system itself available in São Paulo after the Intersolar. K2 Systems is therefore strengthening its sales network in South America, while at the same time successfully continuing its ongoing strategy of internationalisation.
