In addition to six global branches, K2 Systems now has a new office in South Africa. Our South African colleague Shawn Classen has already moved into the new office space in the renowned city of Table Mountain. With a well-stocked warehouse and customer training road shows under his belt, he has already completed initial projects with local partners.
A PV system with a capacity of 25 kWp was installed in the town of Robertson.
The K2 SolidRail UltraLight 32 rails and micro inverters were installed on the farm warehouse roof-top.
In addition, other installation projects include the K2 MultiRail for pitched roofs and K2 S-Dome for flat roofs.
South Africa has more than 2,500 hours of sunshine per year and is considered one of the most attractive emerging solar markets in the world.
The power grid is prone to supply failures and bottlenecks. PV systems ensure greater autonomy and increasingly counteract these disruptions.
Shawn Classen has many years of experience in the South African photovoltaic industry and is available to answer your questions and discuss future projects. We would be happy to include your next project in our newsletter.
K2 mounting systems are adapted to the climatic conditions and roof types in South Africa. Hanger bolts in combination with the K2 SolidRail are popular for South African roof types, K2 S-Dome and D-Dome systems are optimised for flat roofs, and MiniRail and MultiRail systems are ideal for pitched roofs. Mounting systems are designed using the online calculation tool Base On.
