Our colleague Marco travelled to Indonesia to demonstrate K2 mounting systems to installers. Marco had many fascinating experiences on his trip. Take a look for yourself!
"In many respects photovoltaics is a good choice for power generation for a country like Indonesia. On one hand, there are often power failures, which can lead to a halt in production, and on the other hand, solar power is much cheaper compared to coal or diesel production, " Marco reports. The group of approximately 40 participants, mostly installers, came from different regions of Indonesia, Malaysia and Bali.
Marco showed the installers and the employees of Sky Energy, our Indonesian sales partner, K2 mounting system features. The D-Dome, MiniRail and SpeedRail systems in particular are practical solutions for the region with mainly trapezoidal sheet metal and flat roofs.
After the theoretical introduction into the applications and system advantages, the participants were able to install the substructures themselves in the practical sessions. "Indonesia was fascinatingly loud, muggy and often chaotic, but the direct contact to local installers and joint assembly sessions brought us together. I will never forget the time I spent in Jakarta!”
