Interactive, simple, efficient and almost climate-neutral! That was SOCO 2020 last Tuesday, 30 June 2020.
In addition to exciting lectures on numerous specialist topics, visitors were able to exchange and discuss directly with PV experts from politics, industry and science. All sessions took place on a common platform, cross-manufacturer, multilingual, digital and thus without long journeys to the trade fair or queues.
From now on, you can watch and share the more than 100 sessions on the SOCO platform free of charge and without registration.
In the keynote, Aurelie Beauvais, Policy Director SolarPower Europe, presents the potential of the European Green Deal and says "Covid-19 is the gamechanger for the solar industry!"
Volker Quaschning, HTW Berlin, explains, among other things, which adjustments are necessary for more effective climate protection. More personnel are needed for installation, a building obligation for solar plants, the removal of regulatory hurdles, the use of agricultural land (agro-photovoltaics) and an annual increase of 18 GW in order to achieve the Paris climate targets.
Using various practical examples, Hans Urban, specialist consultant for renewable energies & e-mobility, will present the current performance of storage facilities. Furthermore, he looks towards 100% renewable energies and the role that storage systems have to play in this.
Exclusive insights were also offered by the informative and very varied programme of the ten leading module, inverter and mounting system manufacturers. They presented their innovations, best practices and new products for 2020 in their digital exhibition areas on the SOCO platform.
The complete range of products is now available mostly in German or English, and offers - even in view of the cancelled The Smarter E and Intersolar Europe - a quick digital overview!
