In Autumn 2016, Greenovative GmbH from Nuremberg fitted the Michelin tire manufacturer’s logistics buildings in Bad Kreuznach and Hallstadt with large PV systems. For over 20 years, the development of turnkey projects in the renewable energy sector has been a core competency of Greenovative GmbH, which has been working together successfully with K2 Systems for many years.
The tire manufacturer Michelin underlines commitment to sustainability with its PV systems, which save more than 2,000 tonnes of CO² annually. BenQ installed nearly 15,000 PV modules with the D-Dome double-sided mounting system on a 50,000 m² roof area.
„The two large-scale projects with concurrent start dates were supplied with frames, modules and inverters on large roof surface areas connecting the supply via its own transformer and transfer stations. K2 Systems has been a very important partner for over five years. We have been especially impressed by the quality and reliability of K2 products and services. We have many PV systems in operation and rely on K2 to provide long-term durability and seamless installations" says Bernd Brandstätter, Managing Director of Greenovative GmbH.
„The 15,000 modules are supported by the D-Dome mounting system. This system is suitable for most flat roofs and optimally utilises various roof surfaces. The K2 D-Dome system offers a simple solution to solar module short side clamping and continuous rails requirements", says Dirk Schömig, Project Manager at K2 Systems.
