The special project in Obhausen was created in close cooperation with MHB Montage GmbH at the end of 2016. Various mounting systems from K2 Systems are installed on more than 20 roofs with different requirements and inclinations, supporting a total of 4224 modules and generating 1330 kWp.

‘Especially projects of this size show how important the exchange between manufacturer and installer is during the planning phase and the subsequent installation. Four system solutions mounted

‘Step by step, we installed the mounting systems on the large premises. We started with the 13 roofs that received the MiniRail system and the new MiniFive elevation. Then it was the turn of the hanger bolts, which support 120 modules. For the east-west elevation, we set up the D-Dome Classic System on 3 roofs and used specially planned special constructions for around 600 modules.
Due to the size and complexity of the project, planning and coordinated construction were immensely important. And since we had already successfully realised similar projects with the K2 Systems team in the past, the choice of the assembly system manufacturer was clear. MiniRail with MiniFive

The MiniRail system is installed on 13 roof surfaces, which uses the MiniFive elevation and thus the additional 5° for around 90 modules.

D-Dome Classic

For the mounting of 692 modules, the double-sided D-Dome Classic is used, which can be mounted not only on flat roofs with a roof pitch of up to 5°, but also on trapezoidal sheet metal roofs.

Around 120 modules have been fixed horizontally using the hanger bolt and SolidRail.

Special constructions with 15°to 25

In Obhausen, 315 Watt solar modules of around 2 metres have been installed (dimensions: 196x99x40 cm), which required special mounting constructions just like some of the roof surfaces on the site. For example, 600 modules were mounted on a trapezoidal sheet metal roof with a special 20° standing construction from K2 Systems.
