Potential for small ground mounted systems
Vacant plots of land, large gardens, unused agricultural land and vacant parking spaces offer considerable, as yet untapped potential for small ground-mounted PV systems.
The K2 N-Rack Kits provide simple, design-free mounting systems for smaller installations.
Clear structure: Top Kit + Ground Kit
The K2 N-Rack kits each consist of one Top Kit and several Ground Kits.
Top Kits
The Top Kit contains the main components of the respective layout and is always identical and standardised in design. The resulting module inclination is 20 degrees.
There are two pre-configured layouts available:
- 2 × 7 modules portrait for small-scale installations (“Garden PV”)
- 2 × 12 module portrait as a standard table size up to approx. 250 kWp
The Top Kits are available in two versions, depending on the module size:
- Version S
Length 1,722–1,905 mm
Width ≤ 1,150 mm - Version L
Length 1,906–2,384 mm
Width ≤ 1,150 mm
The layout can be flexibly adapted for module widths of up to 1,303 mm, allowing for the installation of either 2×6 or 2×10 modules.
Ground Kits
Depending on ground conditions, four foundation types are available. All of them can be implemented using equipment from standard tool and equipment rental providers.
Concrete
- to be provided on site as strip or column foundations
- by direct connection to existing concrete surfaces
Gabions
- Simple, tool-free installation: simply slot the gabion baskets together and fill them with rubble; then assemble the Top Kit using standard DIY tools
- Gabion baskets available from K2
Screwed foundation
- Suitable for load-bearing substrates
- Available in standard lengths from K2
Pile-driven
- For load-bearing substrates
- Available in standard lengths from K2

Easy planning
The K2 N-Rack kits are designed to meet the following standard load cases:
- Wind load 0.67 kN/m²
- Snow load 1.75 kN/m²
The kits can now be planned directly in MyK2Projects and visualised geographically using a mapping tool. This new planning option is available in MyK2. Once you have created an account and linked it to a company, all MyK2 services can be used free of charge.
Easy installation
All components are designed so that they can be assembled quickly using standard tools. This modular approach reduces complexity, stockholding and installation time.
The combination of standardised assembly, clear packages and flexible mounting options makes the N-Rack Kit a straightforward solution for smaller ground-mounted solar installations.
