Our work within the association

Support at multiple levels Since 2004, K2 Systems has been developing mounting systems for photovoltaic installations and is committed to advancing solar energy. We believe in the importance of exchange and collaboration within the industry. That is why we actively support associations at the European, national, and regional levels.

German associations

Germany: German Solar Association (BSW-Solar)

For more than 40 years, the association has represented the interests of solar companies in Germany. It provides information, advice and communication in activities between business, politics and consumers. In addition to comprehensive press and public relations work, the BSW also provides rapid industry information.

K2 Systems is also actively involved in the association: After more than ten years of membership, Katharina David, CEO of K2 Systems, was elected to the BSW-Solar Executive Board in 2022 and re-elected in 2024. In this role, she actively contributes K2 Systems’ perspective to the association’s work and champions the interests and further development of the solar industry.

The central goals are to raise public awareness of the industrial and economic importance of solar energy and to actively develop the legal parameters for further expansion. Two specific projects that we have realised together with association partners show that we can achieve more together: the 1.35 MW project in Neckarsulm with Orange Solar and the 443 kWp project in Esslingen with EnBW.
