K2 Systems is now a member of the Austrian Association for Ventilated Facades (ÖFHF). The association pools the expertise of manufacturers and installers working with rear-ventilated facades (VHF) — covering everything from structural engineering to building physics and fire protection.
The step follows market developments: after conquering rooftops and open land, photovoltaics is now moving onto facades. ÖFHF has already set up a dedicated working group and published the guideline “Photovoltaics on Ventilated Facades,” laying planning foundations for the industry. With WallPV, K2 Systems brings the mounting system manufacturer’s perspective into this exchange.
Hannes Thaller, Area Sales Manager Austria at K2 Systems, explains:
“This step follows clear logic: alongside open land and rooftops, photovoltaics is now conquering facades too. ÖFHF brings together exactly the expertise driving this development. As a mounting system manufacturer for facades, K2 Systems seeks dialogue with facade planners, installers, and architects — to advance quality standards together, share knowledge, and stay current on fire protection and standardization.”
