The year is still young and there is already exciting news from K2 Systems: Since the beginning of the year, we have been a proud member of SBFIME (Stowarzyszenie Branży Fotowoltaicznej i Magazynów Energii), the Polish association for photovoltaics and energy storage. This association actively promotes photovoltaics in the sixth-largest country of the European Union and brings together a wide range of manufacturers and dealers and installation companies. The association participates in public consultations on energy legislation, publishes reports on the market situation, and contributes to the development of guidelines and standards.
‘Solar energy is the number one renewable energy source in Poland. More than 4 GW of solar energy is installed annually, and the country is one of the key markets in the EU,’ explains Dariusz Borowiec, Area Sales Manager Poland. Experts assume that by 2030, nearly 30 GW of solar energy will be in operation, and according to the National Energy and Climate Plan, about 30 percent of the final energy demand will come from renewable sources by then. The current ‘EU Market Outlook’ from SolarPower Europe also gives PV experts reason for optimism. According to this, the Polish market will remain stable over the next five years. Small solar systems under 50 kW, supported by funding programs, remain important, while interest in systems for C&I will grow. Dariusz emphasizes: ‘We are proud to be a member of this association and look forward to working together to advance the energy transition in Poland!’
