New Interface Between K2 Base and Aurora Solar Design Mode

K2 Systems and Aurora Solar Connect Their Planning Tools

The new interface between Aurora Solar Design Mode and K2 Base speeds up PV system planning by reducing the need for duplicate data entry.

With a single click on the K2 Base tile in Aurora Design Mode, key project data is transferred directly to K2 Base. This includes roof geometry, roof type classification, existing obstructions, and metadata for the selected PV modules. K2 Base then opens in a new browser tab and automatically creates a pre-populated project. Installers can immediately continue with mounting system design without having to re-enter project data.

“The next leap in PV planning efficiency will not come from another standalone tool, but from better-connected workflows,” says Matt Rollason, Vice President and General Manager Europe at Aurora Solar.

“Project planners and installers need solutions that work quickly and intuitively in their day-to-day business,” adds Stefan Köhl, Base Program Manager at K2 Systems. “The handover from Aurora Solar to K2 Base ensures that relevant project data from PV system design flows directly into mounting system planning. This allows our customers to start detailed design work faster and focus more on delivering their projects.”
