‘New school building that beautifully combines innovation and aesthetics’

‘EnergyOptimizer GmbH is committed to efficient energy use and sustainable energy production. With the large-scale installation on the Neue Schule Port, we have made an important contribution to the energy turnaround. The planning and implementation of the aesthetically valuable photovoltaic system challenged us in a new way. With K2 Systems, we were able to count on a partner who supported us at all times in the implementation of the special solution. The result of the joint work with all those involved is a new school building that combines innovation and aesthetics in a wonderful way,’ says Johan Pihlblad, Managing Director of EnergyOptimizer GmbH.

Solar power supplies 50 households

Die PV-Anlage versorgt mit einer Jahresleistung von 275.000 kWh rund 50 Haushalte in der Gemeinde Port.

Within the framework of the ‘Portsolar project,sustainable, local electricity production from port to port’ residents can acquire a 20-year right to use the PV system and consume the electricity themselves.

Awarded: ‘arc award’ + ‘solar award’

The project ‘Jagged school in wooden element construction with solar roof’ has been awarded the architecture award arc award and the PlusEnergieBau®-Diplom excellent.

For the trio of architects Basil Spiess, Silvia Weibel Hendriksen and Martin Zimmerli, it was important: ‘We wanted to build a school that people would hate to skip!’

Special construction with the insert system

The building has a wooden roof truss on which an aesthetic PV system was to be mounted.

With the help of a specially developed angle and the SolidRail Alpin 60 rail, the
Insertion systemconvince with its black anodised components.
