K2 Base has established itself in the PV industry as a powerful and user-friendly design tool. The software enables the quick and straightforward design of PV mounting systems such as Dome 6 and helps designers to implement projects efficiently and in accordance with standards.
With just a few inputs, K2 Base generates a project-specific structural analysis, including a complete parts list. This can be exported directly from the software to the online shops of numerous wholesalers with just one click, which significantly speeds up the ordering process. Furthermore, K2 Base offers a wide range of interfaces, such as those to planning tools from inverter manufacturers.
The latest update has introduced important optimisations in the area of structural analysis. The load calculation has been further improved and now covers the following areas: loads on modules, compression analysis on insulation and anchor calculations. The changes initially apply to all variants of the D-Dome 6 flat roof system – the S-Dome 6 variants will follow shortly.
In addition, K2 Systems is expanding the range of functions to include new information chapters on system verification and anchor load distribution. The chapter on system verification answers frequently asked questions from external structural engineers and provides greater transparency in the design process. The new chapter on anchor load distribution also provides detailed information on the calculation and distribution of fixing points.
K2 Base thus offers even greater planning reliability and transparency for the professional design of PV mounting systems.
