Internationalization at K2

With installations in over 130 countries and subsidiaries outside Europe in the USA, Mexico, and South Africa, K2 Systems has long pursued a consistent internationalization strategy. Now, we are strategically expanding our global presence toward Asia — a region with tremendous growth potential in the field of photovoltaics.

Thomas Lang: Asia expert strengthens regional focus

Since 2024, Thomas Lang has been strengthening K2 Systems’ international team. With many years of experience in Asian markets, he brings extensive market knowledge and a deep understanding of the cultural and economic nuances of Southeast Asia. Based in Thailand, he oversees the entire Southeast Asian region, currently focusing on key markets such as Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

“The potential for photovoltaics in Southeast Asia is enormous,” emphasizes Thomas. “We’re excited about the strong interest in our safe and reliable mounting systems. The combination of motivated partners, growing awareness of quality, and government support makes the region particularly dynamic.”

Presence at key industry events in Asia

As part of its expansion into Asia, K2 has already participated in two major industry events this year, together with local partners:

Solar & Storage Live Vietnam in Saigon – with Krannich Solar Vietnam

Both trade show appearances were marked by high visitor turnout and numerous high-quality conversations. There was strong interest in durable, reliable, and easy-to-install mounting systems — a clear sign of the region’s growing demand for quality in the solar sector.
