Flat roof PV in portrait orientation

With the K2 Dome 6 Portrait System, K2 Systems expands the Dome 6 family with a mounting solution designed specifically for portrait-oriented PV modules on flat roofs.

The system’s 7° tilt angle delivers a favorable energy yield while maintaining a low overall system height. In line with the requirements of most module manufacturers, modules are clamped on the long side, which is particularly advantageous for large-format modules. The shared rail design reduces material consumption and speeds up installation. At the same time, the increased distance between the modules and the roof surface, compared to landscape-oriented configurations, improves rear ventilation and can support module performance. A generous ridge gap between module rows provides sufficient space for maintenance access. The system is configured as a dual-tilt (D-Dome) solution and is available in the Classic version, allowing for flexible row spacing.

As a result, the K2 Dome 6 Portrait System provides an ideal foundation for high-performance PV installations on commercial rooftops.
