K2 WallPV – the system solution for solar projects on building facades

02 April 2024 Updates: Products

After slanted and flat comes vertical:

Our new mounting systems add another dimension to the areas that can be used to generate energy. This is because they allow systematic and therefore fast PV installation on façades.

Many suppliers and users are already familiar with the majority of the parts required for this, as our development team has created a clever modular system with just a few new elements. The K2 WallPV systems consist of a few tried-and-tested roof components and a few newly developed products – and enable modules to be mounted with standard frames inserted or clamped.

Practical, clever and sustainable!

Our K2 WallPV systems can be used on a wide range of facade claddings and are available in three versions:

K2 WallPV FacadeRail:

for facades made of solid masonry or concrete, also in combination with curtain wall facades and external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS)

K2 WallPV CarrierRail:

for facades with sandwich panels from Fischer Profil and MontanaTherm with integrated thermal insulation

K2 WallPV MultiRail:

For facades with trapezoidal sheet metal or corrugated sheet metal

The highlights:

Scalable modular components enable large-scale PV systems for sustainable energy generation, taking us a big step forward in the energy transition. What makes vertical PV systems even more attractive is that they have lower operating temperatures. And snow, leaves and rainwater do not remain on the modules. In addition, due to the low position of the sun in winter, the yield can be even higher than with horizontally aligned PV systems, because the sunlight then falls at right angles onto the modules.

So: many good reasons for the cleverly designed facade systems!
