RidgeConnector as an alternative to roof anchors

When roof load capacity is low or the roof pitch is 3° or more, a fixed anchoring of the PV mounting system is recommended. Roof anchors from various manufacturers can be easily and reliably calculated using the K2 Base planning tool.

For cases where the use of roof anchors is not possible or not desired, K2 Systems now offers a cost-effective and efficient alternative: the K2 Dome 6 RidgeConnector. It connects module blocks simply and securely across the roof ridge. This eliminates the need for roof anchors—saving both material and costs, while also removing an entire work step on the roof.

Application area

The RidgeConnector is suitable for flat roofs with pitches up to 10° and building heights up to 25 m. It is compatible with the Dome 6 Xpress and Dome 6 Classic Systems.

Rail connection is possible in both directions:

• To K2 BasicRail when the rail direction runs from ridge to eaves
• To K2 SingleRail when the first rail layer runs parallel to the ridge (K2 BasicRail in cross-connection with K2 SingleRail)
