Artful Integration: PV Modules in Dialogue with the Landscape

From Deep Green to Light: A Facade Telling the Story of the Landscape

As part of the project, the east and south façades of an existing warehouse were clad with photovoltaic modules. A regional artist developed a color concept to harmoniously integrate the installation into the surrounding landscape.

Colored PV modules in six different shades of green were used to create a gentle gradient from dark to light green. The selected tones reflect the natural color palette of the adjacent slopes, establishing a visual connection with the environment.

Mounting details

On the east façade, the PV system was mounted on a custom-made steel framework and tilted backward at an angle of 12°.
On the south façade, the installation was carried out using industrially manufactured mounting profiles, which were fixed directly to the existing masonry. The modules were also installed at a 12° angle and align seamlessly with the joint pattern of the east façade.
