Connecting Strength in the Solar Cluster
Both EnBW and K2 Systems are members of the Solar Cluster Baden-Württemberg.
The initiative has been active since 2012 on behalf of regional companies from all parts of the solar value chain, such as module, inverter and mounting system manufacturers, as well as municipal utilities and research institutes. The main objectives are to raise public awareness of the industrial-political and economic importance of solar energy and to actively help develop the legal framework for further expansion.
Our partner
With around 28,000 employees, EnBW is one of the largest energy companies in Germany and Europe. It supplies around 5.5 million customers with electricity, gas, water as well as services and products in the areas of infrastructure and energy. As part of its realignment from a traditional energy supplier to a sustainable infrastructure company, the expansion of renewable energies and the distribution and transmission grids for electricity and gas are cornerstones of EnBW’s growth strategy and the focus of its investments. From 2023 to 2025, EnBW will invest around €14 billion gross, mainly in the accelerated implementation of the energy transition. By the end of 2025, more than half of EnBW’s generation portfolio is to consist of renewable energies, and the aim is to phase out coal by the end of 2028. These are key milestones on the company’s path to climate neutrality in 2035.
