The Swedish BBK Group installed the PV system with an output of 90 kWp and a total of 216 solar modules in May 2023. The roof belongs to a building owned by the “Riksbyggen BRF Malmöhus” owners’ association, which has already installed various systems with around 500 kWp on neighbouring buildings. In all projects, KOSTAL and REC components and K2 Systems mounting systems were used to match the respective roof covering and the requirements of the building.

“The use of our K2 Dome Zero System makes particular sense here, as the system should be mounted parallel to the roof with a very flat installation height in order to conceal the modules as well as possible. In addition, the ballasting required with this mounting system remains low, especially on roofs with low load reserves, and can also be optimally fastened using the Dome FixPro fixed connection. We are delighted with the successful collaboration with the BBK Group and the great result for the roofs in Malmö,” says Peo Jonsson, project manager at K2 Systems and part of the Swedish K2 team.

The project in southern Sweden has paid for itself in just under four years and supplies the residents with an annual yield of around 70,000 kWh, which they use directly. This is how decentralized power supply works!
