The Dome 6 systems are aerodynamically designed and require only minimal ballast, making them ideal for installation on membrane roofs. When roof load capacity is limited, additional options for ballast reduction are available — all of which can be quickly and easily planned in K2 Base.

K2 Base offers the option to enter the maximum permissible pressure on the thermal insulation. If this threshold is exceeded, an additional number of Mat S protection mats can be automatically added, enabling a more even distribution of the load. An additional solution is the K2 LoadSolver: thanks to its widened contact surface, it ensures particularly effective load distribution on the insulation.

For roofs with low load-bearing capacity or a roof pitch of 3° or more, mechanical fastening of the mounting system is required.

K2 Base provides planning options with roof anchors from various manufacturers such as Sika, Solmont, and CW Lundberg. The respective load-bearing capacities of the anchors are automatically taken into account. Additionally, users can enter custom anchor values. Connection to the K2 rails is conveniently made using the Dome FixPro component.

In cases where the use of roof anchors is not possible or not desired, there is now a cost-effective alternative: the K2 Dome 6 RidgeConnector.
It connects module blocks simply and efficiently across the roof ridge. The roof anchor can be omitted – saving material and costs while also eliminating an entire work step on the roof.
