In autumn 2016, Greenovative GmbH from Nuremberg equipped the two logistics halls of the Michelin tyre plants in Bad Kreuznach and in Hallstadt with large PV systems. The development and construction of turnkey projects in the renewable energy sector have been part of the core competencies of the Greenovative GmbH team for more than 20 years, and the company has been working successfully with K2 Systems for several years.
The tyre manufacturer Michelin underlines its sustainable actions with the PV systems, which save over 2,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. Almost 15,000 PV modules from BenQ with the double-sided D-Dome mounting system were installed on the 50,000 m² roofs.
‘The two large projects, with construction starting almost simultaneously, were supplied with racks, modules and inverters over a large area and smoothly on the roofs, in order to subsequently implement the feed-in via the company’s own transformer and transfer stations. For more than five years, K2 Systems has been a very important partner, because above all the quality and reliability are convincing. We have many systems in service and therefore see that the PV systems realised with K2 are permanently safe and trouble-free,’ says Bernd Brandstätter, Managing Director of Greenovative GmbH, describing the cooperation.
