Installation information
Sports power in the gym building meets sun power on the roof. This was made possible by our partners Sonnwende and Alteno AG, who worked together to install a 148.91 kWp PV system on the roof of the building. The special roof architecture required a smart bespoke solution.
The required components of the mounting system were determined based on the structural analysis prepared by Alteno AG. The SolidRail L, which enables large span widths, plays a central role. It transfers the loads to the steel roof construction so that the roof surface is elegantly spanned.
On the lower roof area, SolidRail L was used as the first rail layer. As a second layer and module rail, SingleRail 50 was installed, having also a large span width. Finally, the flat roof system Dome 6.10 Classic was mounted on top. To make optimum use of the roof area, a mixture of single-sided and double-sided elevations was chosen.
On the upper roof area, the modules were installed parallel to the roof. BasicRail was used as the first and SolidRail L as the second rail layer. The span width of the rail was sufficient for three modules next to each other. They were clamped in portrait on the long side with special laminate module clamps using three rails per module.
To make optimum use of the roof surface, robust glass-glass module types from the German manufacturer SOLYCO Solar AG and the Swiss manufacturer Megasol were installed. This ensures optimum energy yield and a particularly long service life thanks to the double glass laminate design.
The Swiss company Sonnwende is a young PV installation and planning company with wide experience in special projects. The company is based in Basel and offers complete solutions from planning to turnkey systems.
