Katharina David, Co-Managing Director of K2 Systems, has been confirmed in her position as a board member of the German Solar Industry Association (BSW). She was first elected to the board in 2022, after more than ten years of membership in the association, with a large majority. The re-election took place at the general meeting at the end of November in Berlin. David is currently the only woman on the 13-member board.
“We want to actively contribute to industry issues beyond mere membership to really make a difference,” explains Katharina David about her voluntary commitment. Especially in light of the political situation, it is more important than ever to take a stand. True to K2’s claim ‘Connecting Strength,’ she is committed to further bundling strengths in the association to advance the energy transition with the help of solar power.
BSW Solar represents the interests of more than 1,000 companies in the solar and storage industry. Chairmen Joachim Goldbeck (GOLDBECK Solar), Moritz Ritter (Ritter Energy and Environmental Technology), and Jörg Ebel (IBC SOLAR) were elected for another two years. In addition to Katharina David, Eric Quiring (SMA), Oliver Koch (Sonnen), Alexander Schütt (BayWa r.e.), Oliver Beckel (Hanwha Q CELLS), Helmut Jäger (SOLVIS), Mario Schirru (Encavis), and Oliver Schweininger (Chint Solar Europe) were confirmed in their board positions. Henning Lorang (KLE Energy) and Dr. Sebastian Gatz (VON ARDENNE) are joining the board to replace outgoing volunteers.
